Just a moment for ourselves..!
It’s 2012 and we’re living in a world where daily, everything is changing in a split of second..Slowly and steadily, everything is getting so digital, we’ve become so dependent on Technology for our basic needs that even raising our hands to fetch a glass of water seems like a herculean task to us ! Regardless of the facts as to who we are, what we are or where we are from, each one of us has become an obedient slave of Technology !
Gone are the days of letters, greeting cards, now it’s our SMSs, e-mails, IMs that speak of our love and affection. Face book, Twitter this is how we talk, invite and get in touch with our people. Today we have bigger houses but smaller families, more conveniences but less time. We have learnt to make a living but not life! We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet our friend.
No doubts, human relationships have really undergone a 360 degree turn! May be thats not a very unpleasant switch over because change is the only constant thing in life. But sure that everything has changed from expressions of love to confessions of love, but what remains unchanged is the word, LOVE! The same emotion has been ruling the world since stone age to this digital age, neither has it’s meaning changed nor has it’s spirit. But things have become more complicated nowadays when it comes to relationships.
RELATIONSHIPS – the longer the spelling it has, the heavier is it’s meaning !
Human relationships don’t just imply a girlfriend-boyfriend relationship (some people are bound to take it that way!), on the contrary, it’s a much broader term that comprises all emotional attachments one has with the world around him/her. The relationships we have with others are actually projections of the relationships we have within ourselves. Just like nature around us is reflection of our mood, Our external relationships and our internal relationships are in fact quite similar. They only seem to be different because we look at them through different angles. As we grow, everything around us seems to change but actually it’s our perceptions and preferences which change gradually.
But still there are a few things that are common to all kinds of relationships – unbreakable trust, mutual understanding, strong sense of commitment and dedication and care. The harder we push in relations, the farther they get away. Relationships are so fragile that a small misunderstanding can break the bond that has taken ages to build it.
All I wanted to say is Never take anybody or anything for granted, they’re there for you because they love you and value you to the core.
We should always know that we are fortunate to have people around us who will support us at times of need. Sometimes in life when we stop a moment from our busy lives, get frustrated and get tired of running round the clock to earn a living, and feel depressed we realize that its people around you who care and love for you are the ones who actually make our life. Lets not realize their presence only when they are no more in our lives which makes life a futile journey altogether!
So, never waste time torturing your heart and pester your mind over questions like, “Why should always I…?” one can always make the first move. Feeling and emotions aren’t a game of chess, where the one who’ll place pawn first may lose or win!
No matter how career-oriented you are, you are bound to experience the need of loved ones one day! Don’t neglect your family, your relatives, your friends and all the people who contributed to the memories and experiences in your life, after all they are all one in millions of population out of whom you were able to get connected!
Everyone is unique and special, having their own contribution in making your life so far!So people, break all the shackles, set your feelings free…don’t hesitate to say a ‘Thank You’ or a ‘Sorry’…it’s time to fill in the empty spaces before it gets too late !

Hema....!!!!!!!! A nice post dear... I loved the lines.....

Hi Hema,
ReplyDeleteIt's a very lovely article on how relationships should be maintained...very nicely said...As u said, trust, understanding and care are the 3 most important aspects for any relation to build.......
Hems...I din't read any blog until now in my life...Ur's is the FIRST...and a very good one as per my knowledge...you have a great skill of writing...do use it regularly...usage of words is awesome...need to refer to understand some meanings... :)totally a very good article in and about today's life.... All the Best... :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a great composition. Most of the points you mentioned are small but great facts which we realize and appreciate only when people like you put them infront of us.
ReplyDeleteThe very line...
"The relationships we have with others are actually projections of the relationships we have within ourselves"
is awesome. If we properly analyse.. we can see a clear division of our 'physical being' and 'spirit'/'conscience'.Our conscience is what we are. We are driven by it.
Your point 'No body can be taken for granted' is right...we cannot assume things and try to control others. If we try most of the times we will endup with a failure.
Keep it up!!
