Silence

She didn’t talk to me. She didn’t do it purposely, but may be she is busy.
She didn’t intend to hurtme but I still wonder why is this silence persisting..May be beacuse I always turned always turned deaf to whatever she said, not that I didn’t like to listen to her; it was just that she always seemed to be pointing out something that displeased her about me. Today however, she had been quiet; today she hadn't said a word. It was unnatural, almost ominous.

I  waited there in bated breath, counting every second, licking my dry lips and racking my brains, looking for a reason for her silence.
I realized I loved her, and nothing in the world, not any force or any calamity could change that fact. The comfort I felt in her arms was undefeated in front of any kind of happiness man had ever encountered. I felt safe, uncorrupted, innocent and almost childlike in her arms. Her beautiful eyes would soothe and calm me down; making me forget about any discomfort I  may feel.
One word of praise, one caring gesture and I would feel that I had been crowned the king of the world. She was sensitive, loving, kind and yet a little judgmental.

I kept wondering why I was getting this silent treatment from her. Maybe it was nothing, maybe it was everything, and maybe I was in big trouble. My heart started beating very fast racing to catch up with the speed of my thoughts.

I walked through the door .

There she was, graceful as ever, walking swiftly into the room. I waited at the door, heart racing like a bike in Roadrash.
Maybe I should have listened; maybe I had disregarded something that she had said. There were so many things that she desired, there were so many things she liked, but she expected nothing from me except honesty.
I loved that about her, her unconditional, unparalleled love for me.

I waited at the door, taking it all in and then finally walked in. She stopped and looked at me, a frown forming slowly on her tired face.

“Look at how dirty your shoes are”, she said. "And on top of it, you lie to me."Come fast , the food is getting cold."

“Sorry mom”, I said, “In a moment”.

  1. :)

A child's emotional excitement was narrated in such simple words, yet keeping their emotional weight. :)

Mother's love for her child is always non-measurable. It will bound to no law, no judgement.

That feeling was so convincingly presented...
Nice presentation.. Keep-up the liveliness.. :):)
