The Zen way
Well, I came across a story which was really impressive...
Once upon a time, there lived a boy. In his locality, a marital art tournament took place regularly. He was quite interested to join and win this tournament. He approached
a martial arts guru and explained his intention, but, the problem with him was that he had only one hand. However, the guru said he can help him and train him to win the
tournament.
The guru taught him only one style of punch and asked him to practice regularly. He practiced this punch everydayfor several weeks. However, he was bored with the
monotony. He asked the guru, whether martial arts hadonly one type of punch. The guru asked him not to askquestions and continue his daily practice. The boy practiced diligently for several months. And finally, hejoined the tournament and to his wonder, he won thetournament with just the one type of punch.Suspicious of his victory, he rushed to his guru, and askedhow he was able to win the tournament by knowing only
one type of punch.
The guru replied that it is a special type of punch, in which, to defend or escape, the opponent had to hold and lock the other hand! In life, we have our own personal shortcomings but we don't think of ways to convert this weakness into strength.
A Leader or a Guru enlightens us and directs us to transform the inability into ability.
With focus, we can make the impossible possible.
